The Company was establish in 1988 and started its commercial operation in 1992 with two production trains with a combined annual capacity of 160,000 metric tons. At the end of 1993, the Company completed a debottlenecking project which increased the annual production capacity to 215,000 metric tons.

The third production train was completed in 1995. The three trains have a combined annual capacity to produce between 360,000 to 380,000 metric tons of polypropylene, depending on the production mix.
